3GPP 38.300 v19.3.0 — the document's own text

1 Scope

Taught in 1. What TSG RAN is, and why the radio gets a group of its own (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, in depth), 4. What NR is — the shape of the 5G radio network (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, in depth), 1. What TSG RAN is, and why the radio gets a group of its own (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, overview), 4. What NR actually is, in the shape its own document gives it (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, overview), 7. How to follow TSG RAN yourself, and what the record will not tell you (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, overview), 1. Who decides how a phone talks to a mast (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, quick start), 2. The six groups, and what each one worries about (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, quick start), 4. Where to look yourself, and what the record does not say (TSG RAN — the group that specifies the radio, quick start).

The present document provides an overview and overall description of the NG-RAN and focuses on the radio interface protocol architecture of NR connected to 5GC (E-UTRA connected to 5GC is covered in the 36 series). Details of the radio interface protocols are specified in companion specifications of the 38 series.
