6.2.7 Procedure of subscription for DO-A Capable AIoT Device reachability event

Figure 6.2.7-1 depicts the procedure of AF subscription for DO-A Capable AIoT Device reachability event.

1. The AF sends subscription request for DO-A Capable AIoT Device reachability event to the NEF. The request includes the target AIoT Device permanent identifier and the event ID of DO-A Capable AIoT Device reachability. The AF ID and the Notification Endpoint of the AF is also included.

2. The NEF discovers the AIOTF as described in clause 5.3.1.

3. The NEF sends the event subscription request with subscription information for DO-A Capable AIoT Device reachability event to the selected AIOTF. The event subscription information includes the AIoT Device permanent identifier, event ID, AF ID and the Notification Endpoint of the NEF.

4. The selected AIOTF interacts with the ADM and authorizes the AF request to subscribe to DO-A Capable AIoT Device reachability event for the AIoT Device(s), based on the AF authorization data stored in the ADM as described in clause 5.6.

5. The selected AIOTF invokes Nadm_DM_Update service operation to update AIoT Device Profile data with the subscription information to ADM.

6. The ADM stores the subscription information in AIoT Device Profile of the target DO-A Capable AIoT Device.

7. The selected AIOTF sends subscription response to the Notification Endpoint of the NEF.

8. The NEF sends subscription response to the Notification Endpoint of the AF.

9. The ADM sends the updated AIoT Device Profile to the serving AIOTF of target DO-A Capable AIoT Device. If the serving AIOTF is already available, the ADM sends target DO-A Capable AIoT Device to the serving AIOTF (which can be different from the selected AIOTF handing the Subscription request). If the AIoT Device is not registered to the network, the updated AIoT Device Profile Data is retrieved by the serving AIOTF once the DO-A Capable AIoT Device performs the Registration procedure as described in clause 6.2.6.
