9.11.4.41 Non-3GPP device information

The purpose of the Non-3GPP device information information element is to provide one or more non-3GPP device identifiers for which QoS differentiation of traffic is requested or for which suspend of QoS differentiation of traffic is requested.

The Non-3GPP device information information element is coded as shown in figure 9.11.4.41.1, figure 9.11.4.41.2, figure 9.11.4.41.3, figure 9.11.4.41.4, figure 9.11.4.41.5, figure 9.11.4.41.6, and table 9.11.4.41.1.

The Non-3GPP device information information element is a type 6 information element with minimum length of 7 octets.

Non-3GPP device identifier (octet 7 to octet s)
The non-3GPP device identifier field contains the non-3GPP device identifier associated with a non-3GPP device connecting through the UE. The structure of the non-3GPP device identifier is defined in 3GPP TS 23.003 [4].
Connection information (octet s+1 to octet u)
The connection information field contains the connection information details for QoS differentiation of the non-3GPP device identifier indicated according to figures 9.11.4.3, 9.11.4.4, 9.11.4.5 and 9.11.4.6, depending on the PDU session type. If no connection information field is included for the non-3GPP device identifier, it indicates that the UE requests to suspend QoS differentiation for the non-3GPP device identifier.
For PDU session type value = "IPv4"
IPv4 address presence indicator (I4API) (octet s+1, bit 1)
The I4API field indicates whether IPv4 address is included in the connection information or not.

The number of port ranges for IPv4 field indicates the number of IPv4 port ranges for the non-3GPP devices connecting to the UE, and shall be included if the I4PRPI field indicates "One or more IPv4 port ranges included".
IPv4 port range (octet s+7 to octet s+10)
The IPv4 port range field indicates the port range associated with the traffic for the non-3GPP device identifier. The IPv4 port range field consists of the lowest port number in octets s+7 and s+8, and the highest port number in octets s+9 and s+10.

The I6ATI field indicates whether the IPv6 address field includes an IPv6 address or an IPv6 prefix.

MAC address (octet s+2 to octet s+7)
The MAC address field indicates the MAC address associated with the traffic for the non-3GPP device identifier. The MAC address is defined as in clause 8 of IEEE Std 802 [43]. Bit 8 of octet s+2 is the most significant bit and bit 1 of octet s+7 is the least significant bit.
VLAN ID (octet s+8 to octet s+9)
The VLAN ID field indicates the VLAN identifier (VID) associated with the traffic for the non-3GPP device identifier. The VID is a 12-bit value as specified in IEEE Std 802.1Q [74]. Bit 8 of octet s+8 is the most significant bit and bit 5 of octet s+9 is the least significant bit. The bits 4 to 1 of octet s+9 shall be spare.
