5.3.15A Abnormal cases in the UE

The following abnormal case can be identified:

  • 5G-GUTI deletion in state 5GMM-REGISTERED.

In state 5GMM-REGISTERED, if the UE detects that the 5G-GUTI is deleted (e.g. due to a REFRESH command from the UICC as specified in 3GPP TS 31.111 [22A]) and the last successful registration was in N1 mode, the UE should set the 5GS update status to 5U2 NOT UPDATED (and shall store it according to clause 5.1.3.2.2) and should delete any last visited registered TAI, TAI list and ngKSI. The UE should enter the state 5GMM-DEREGISTERED. The UE shall delete the stored 5G-GUTI in the UE, if any.
