4.28.3 Control of UE access via MWAB
For an MWAB broadcasted PLMN, enhanced CAG information can be used for the control of UE's access via MWAB. CAG identifier is used to control the access of UE via MWAB. The 5GCN supports the UE access control based on the PLMND ID and CAG identifier broadcasted by the MWAB and the CAG-ID authorized based on "Allowed CAG list" in the PLMN's entry of "CAG information list" stored in the UE. Time validity information can be provided to the UE together with the CAG identifier for accessing to MWAB in order to control that UE not accessing the MWAB cell outside of the time validity information.
NOTE 1: For the UE not supporting CAG functionality, the 5GCN can control the access of the UE via MWAB with managing the forbidden tracking area.
For an MWAB broadcasted SNPN, the 5GCN can control the access of the UE via the MWAB by:
- an SNPN ID being available at the MWAB and included in "credentials holder controlled prioritized list of preferred SNPNs" or "credentials holder controlled prioritized list of preferred SNPNs for access for localized services in SNPN" configured in the selected entry of "list of subscriber data" of the UE; or
- a GIN being available at the MWAB and included in "credentials holder controlled prioritized list of preferred GINs" or "credentials holder controlled prioritized list of preferred GINs for access for localized services in SNPN" configured in the selected entry of "list of subscriber data" of the UE,
the MWAB not allowing registration attempts from UEs that are not explicitly configured to select the SNPN for the available SNPN, and the subscribed SNPNs of the UEs not being available at the MWAB.
NOTE 2: For the UE not supporting access to an SNPN using credentials from a credentials holder, the 5GCN can control the access of the UE via MWAB with managing the forbidden tracking area.
