22.4 AI/ML-based Positioning

AI/ML-based Positioning is described in TS 38.305 [42].

For the deployment of AI/ML assisted positioning with gNB-side AI/ML model, AI/ML Model Training and AI/ML Model Inference are both located in the gNB. The gNB also does performance monitoring of its own AI/ML Model. The other principles for support of AI/ML for NG-RAN described in clause 16.20.2 apply for AI/ML assisted positioning with gNB-side AI/ML model.
