16.23.4.3.1 Physical device-to-reader channel
The Physical Device-to-Reader Channel (PDRCH) carries the D2R transport block originating from the A-IoT MAC layer. The physical-layer processing of PDRCH consists of the following steps:
- CRC attachment;
- Block repetition;
- Channel coding, which may be omitted;
- Modulation of OOK or BPSK, resulting in small frequency shift;
- Mapping to chips.
