16.14.13 Support of Half-Duplex UE in NR NTN

To support Reduced Capability (RedCap) UEs and enhanced RedCap (eRedCap) UEs in NR NTN operating in FR1-NTN bands, enhancements to address issues caused by Timing Advance (TA) mismatch for Half-Duplex UE in paired spectrum are specified. This mismatch occurs between the actual TA used by the UE and the assumed TA for the UE at the gNB. The enhancements specifically target the issues in half-duplex collision cases at the UE side, including scenarios where semi-statically configured downlink reception collides with semi-statically configured uplink transmission, and where dynamically scheduled downlink reception collides with dynamically scheduled uplink transmission (see clause 17.2 of TS 38.213 [38]).
