5.7.7 UE Reader ID

The UE Reader ID is used to identify a UE Reader when service operation requests are sent to NG-RAN.

NOTE: Service operation requests towards an AIOTF use a SUPI to identify the UE Reader.

The UE Reader ID is an AMF UE NGAP ID and RAN UE NGAP ID (see TS 38.413 [10]) and can be sent to NG-RAN as part of a service operation request to identify a specific UE for the request.

Editor's note: It depends on RAN WG3 to determine whether there is an identifier that is known by the AIOTF and RAN and used for UE Reader selection in the NG-RAN configuration information as well as AIoT service operation request towards NG-RAN.
