5.2.3.2 Uplink Application Container Transfer Message

To enable the receipt of DO-A data from a DO-A Capable AIoT Device, an AF subscribes to Uplink Application Container Transfer notifications. In the subscribe request, the AF provides its target address and target AIoT Device information. If the subscribe request is authorized, the AIoT Device Profile Data of the AIoT Device is updated with the target address and the AF subscription information.

When a DO-A Capable AIoT Device autonomously sends its DO-A data, it sends AIoT NAS Uplink Application Container Transfer message to the AIOTF. The DO-A data is included transparently in a container in the AIoT NAS message.

NOTE: The triggers and periodicity of DO-A data delivery are application specific.

When the AIOTF receives AIoT NAS Uplink Application Container Transfer message from a DO-A Capable AIoT Device containing DO-A data, the AIOTF provides the DO-A data along with the AIoT Device Permanent Identifier to the target address(es) stored in the AIoT Device context in the AIOTF for the AIoT Device.
