[{"name":"SP-250432","title":"LS from SA WG5: LS to SA for guidance on maintenance of specifications","source":"SA WG5","contact":"Robert Petersen","contact-id":14104,"tdoctype":"LS in","for":"Action","abstract":"3GPP criteria of working is that errors that are serious (FASMO) shall be corrected in all maintained versions down to the release where the error was introduced. SA WG5 currently maintains approximately 445 TSs and TRs, as can be seen in S5-251769. The TSs are automatically upgraded if no change is done in a release. This results in very many CRs on old releases, which leads to a high workload, not only in SA WG5 but also affects SA. To reduce the number of CRs for old releases, SA WG5 seeks advice from SA on whether it is possible to reduce any of systems (2G, 3G, 4G etc.) and\/or which releases are to be maintained, without violating the FASMO criteria. To SA: Action: SA WG5 asks SA for guidance on whether it is possible to reduce the number of CRs on old releases without violating the FASMO criteria.","secretary_remarks":"Noted","agenda_item_sort_order":117,"ainumber":"21.1","ainame":"General project management issues","tdoc_agenda_sort_order":14510,"status":"noted","reservation_date":"2025-05-07 06:44:59","uploaded":"2025-05-07 06:45:56","revisionof":"","revisedto":"","release":"","crspec":"","crspecversion":"","workitem":"","crnumber":"","crrevision":"","crcategory":"","tsg_crp":"","lsreplyto":"","lsto":"TSG SA","Cc":"","lsoriginalls":"S5-252123","lsreply":"","link":"https:\/\/www.3gpp.org\/ftp\/tsg_sa\/TSG_SA\/TSGS_108_Prague_2025-06\/Docs\/SP-250432.zip","group":"SP","meeting":"SP-108","year":2025,"uicc_affected":"","me_affected":"","ran_affected":"","cn_affected":"","clauses_affected":"","crsinpack":null,"crsinpacknumber":0}]
