Answer 1: RAN WG2 specifications do not explicitly capture any other parameters and\/or conditions for the network nodes (e.g., whether the QoS information of the multicast session is taken into account) to make the decision of moving the UE with active multicast session to RRC_INACTIVE other than temporary no data for multicast and Expected UE Behaviour for unicast\/multicast (i.e., it is up to network implementation whether to take QoS information into account). gNB is not anticipated to proactively move the UE with active MBS session to RRC_IDLE. However, the UE may need to transition to RRC_IDLE e.g., due to RLF. Only in the case of deactivated MBS session, the UE may be moved by gNB to RRC_IDLE (or RRC_INACTIVE).
