With an editor s note whether this indication is needed, or the UAS-NF or NEF can maintain the UUAA status to share with SMF. Due to the above statement, CT WG4 implemented uavAuthenticated information element in TS 29.502 so the AMF can inform the SMF about the UE s UUAA status at the time of PDU session establishment\/modification. The statement above was removed from new version of TS 23.256 and therefore the attached CRs were submitted to CT WG4 to remove the uavAuthenticated information element. However, the CRs have been postponed since step 7 of the flow diagram in Figure 5.2.1.1-1 of TS 33.256 has the following statement which relies on the functionality of uavAuthenticated information element. The SMF determines whether UUAA is required for the UE. UUAA shall only be triggered if the UE has provided a CAA-Level UAV ID and has a valid Aerial UE subscription.
