However NAS and RRC signalling specified in Rel-15 is sufficient to make MCX over 5G operational for on-network test cases._x000D_\n2\tDiscussion_x000D_\nThe applicability Table 4-1, defined in TS 37.579-4, mandates the earliest release as Rel-17 in the Release RAT column for testing of MCX test cases over 5G. This is because the support of MCX over 5G RAT was formally added in the core specifications by 3GPP in Rel-17 (core Work Item MCOver5GS)._x000D_\nMCX testing requires installation of a client on a 5G UE. The 5G NR features (NR or 5GC) necessary to operate on-network MCPTT services have been specified in 3GPP Release 15.
