{"name":"R5-198276","title":"Handling of Voice and\/or Video services in LTE while roaming for IMS enabled UEs","source":"Qualcomm Incorporated","contact":"Bharadwaj Kumar Cheruvu","contact-id":68613,"tdoctype":"discussion","for":"Endorsement","abstract":"Introduction\nThe purpose of this paper is to discuss the handling of Voice and\/or Video services in LTE while roaming for IMS enabled UEs in accordance to [1]. \n2.\tDiscussion\nBased on the requirements defined in section C.3 of [1], for UEs configured with IMS enabled, Media type restriction policy is enforced in which Voice and\/or Video are prohibited over LTE while UE is in roaming.\nFrom [1], C.3 Configuration Parameters\nTable C.3.1 contains configuration parameters with their default values that must be supported by the UE and the network. The UE must use the default value for each parameter in Table C.3.1 unless configured differently by any of the methods as described in section C.2.\n\u2026\nBased on this requirement, \n1.\tIMS enabled UEs triggers IMS re-registration by removing Voice and\/or Video services and including other supported feature tags up on moving from HPLMN to VPLMN.\n2.\tIMS enabled UEs triggers IMS re-registration by including Voice and\/or Video services along with other supported feature tags up on moving from VPLMN to HPLMN.\nThere are 55 testcases in [2] impacted due to the afore mentioned behaviour. Enclosed is the spreadsheet having the impacted testcases listed. Qualcomm would be tracking the progress of this activity.\n3.   Summary\nBased on the discussion in section 2, impacted testcases of [2] needs to be updated to handle IMS re-registration procedure up on moving from HPLMN to VPLMN and vice-versa.\n4.
