RAN5 provided the feedback in [2]._x000D_\nLS [3] clarifies that requirements for STxMP have been specified under Rel-18 WI on MIMO Evolution for Downlink and Uplink (Acronym: NR_MIMO_evo_DL_U). Hence FR2 UE Beamlock test function that RAN4 asked RAN5 to evaluate is for the testability of requirements defined in Clause 6.2K of TS 38.101-2 in Rel-18._x000D_\nRAN5 concluded to work under RAN5 Rel-18 WI NR MIMO evolution for downlink and uplink (Acronym: NR_MIMO_evo_DL_UL-UEConTest). WI was revised in RAN#107 to include also TS 38.509 as impacted specification. {"name":"R5-253491","title":"LS on the list of RRM test cases with the LTE\/FR1+FR2 testability","source":"TSG WG RAN5","contact":"Ingbert Sigovich","contact-id":28887,"tdoctype":"LS out","for":"Approval","abstract":"RAN5 informed RAN4 in [1] about the RAN5 assessment on the list of LTE\/FR1+FR2 test cases where there is one or more testability issues caused by uncalibrated OTA E-UTRA\/NR-FR1 link. RAN5 asked RAN4 to consider the list of test cases affected by testability issues, as presented in the RAN5 discussion paper [2] to be included in TS 38.133 clause A.3.13A. To avoid maintaining 2 separate lists, RAN5 had decided not to keep the corresponding list in RAN5 specification. RAN4 confirmed the RAN5 assessment and agreed to update the lists of test cases UE does not have to pass in Table A.3.13A.2-1 and A.3.13A.3-1 (TS38.133 v17.10.0)._x000D_\nRAN5 noticed two issues with the list maintained by RAN4. _x000D_\nIssue 1: Incomplete Update of the Testability List _x000D_\nThe testability issue list has been updated with RAN5-indicated test cases only up to Release 17. The change was never transferred to Release 18 specification. This omission may lead to the incorrect assumption that certain test cases from Release 18 require test coverage, even though RAN5 has not designated them as testable._x000D_\nIssue 2: Missing Entries for New FR1\/E-UTRA \u2013 FR2 Scenarios_x000D_\nSeveral new test cases involving FR1\/E-UTRA and FR2 combinations, which raise testability concerns, are currently not listed in TS 38.133 Annex A.3.13A. This suggests that the list is not being actively maintained by RAN4, potentially resulting in a lack of clarity regarding the intended test coverage for these configurations._x000D_\nWay forward:_x000D_\nGiven the above observations and considering the long involvement and expertise of RAN5 in testability issues related to OTA, RAN5 would like to maintain the aforementioned list by copying from TS 38.133 to TS 38.533 and continue to evaluate and update the list with additional test cases with testability issues. _x000D_\n2. Actions: To RAN4 group: RAN5 respectfully requests RAN4 to take above information into account and kindly confirm the proposed way forward.","secretary_remarks":"","agenda_item_sort_order":734,"ainumber":"5.7","ainame":"Outgoing liaison statements for provisional approval","tdoc_agenda_sort_order":318900,"status":"approved","reservation_date":"2025-05-28 16:11:15","uploaded":"2025-05-28 16:21:09","revisionof":"","revisedto":"","release":"Rel-15","crspec":"","crspecversion":"","workitem":[{"winame":"TEI15_Test"},{"winame":" 5GS_NR_LTE-UEConTest"}],"crnumber":"","crrevision":"","crcategory":"","tsg_crp":"","lsreplyto":"","lsto":"TSG WG RAN4","Cc":"","lsoriginalls":"","lsreply":"","link":"https:\/\/www.3gpp.org\/ftp\/tsg_ran\/WG5_Test_ex-T1\/TSGR5__107_Malta\/Docs\/R5-253491.zip","group":"R5","meeting":"R5-107","year":2025,"uicc_affected":"","me_affected":"","ran_affected":"","cn_affected":"","clauses_affected":"","crsinpack":null,"crsinpacknumber":0},
