[{"name":"R5-198898","title":"Reply LS to 3GPP RAN5 regarding additional MB relaxation information (R5-195451)","source":"PTCRB PVG","contact":"Ingbert Sigovich","contact-id":28887,"tdoctype":"LS in","for":"Information","abstract":"PTCRB validation group (PVG) would like to thank RAN5 for the LS on MB relaxation. \nPVG discussed 3GPP RAN5 assumptions as listed below:\n1.\tUE vendor declares FR2 multi-band relaxation factor per FR2 bands for all supported FR2 bands during certification test, regardless if the band is part of the certification scheme or not.\na.\tTo ensure integrity of application of multi-band relaxation, UE vendor shall declare same multi-band relaxation values for certification testing or a given UE with identical band support, if testing is distributed over multiple labs\/test sessions.\n2.\tTest verdict assigned during UE certification testing shall be per band for all supported bands, under two conditions:\na.\tAll the supported FR2 bands shall be tested according to the multi-band test requirements in TS 38.521-2.\nb.\tThe sum of declared delta MB per band satisfy the summation of MB according to TS 38.521-2 requirements.\n3.\tTest platform validation shall be done per band basis and shall accurately account for UE vendor declared multi-band relaxation values.\nPVG would like to provide the response below based on PVG discussions. However, PVG would like to send this LS to PTCRB OSG and PTCRB Plenary Groups for further review and feedback. An updated response may be provided at the next RAN5 meeting:\nPVG further discussed the MB relaxation assumptions provided by RAN5. \n1.\tPTCRB shall require UE vendor to declare all supported FR2 bands and MB relaxation value for each band as part of PTCRB certification request submission requirements on PTCRB certification portal. \na.\tPTCRB Primary lab carries the responsibility for the final conformance report and UE certification. As such, the primary lab shall ensure that all testing including those performed by other labs have accurately taken into account FR2 MB relaxation requirements using the same MBR values across all labs while adhering to TS 38.521-2, Tables 6.2.1.3-1, 6.2.1.3-3, and 6.2.1.3-4.     \n2.\tPTCRB Primary lab shall mandate testing of all supported FR2 bands including bands that are GCF specific as long as the bands\/TCs are validated in PTCRB (Category E, A, B)) and\/or GCF (Category C, A, B).
