Overall description\n3GPP SA6 would like to thank CT for the LS on withdrawal of Rel-17 version of TS 24.549, where you informed us that CT1 concluded with the preference to withdraw the Rel-17 version of TS 24.549 due to incompatibility of Rel-17 and Rel-18 versions of TS 24.549 specification.\nFurther, CT asked SA6 to provide feedback on CT1\u2019s preference to withdraw the Rel-17 version of TS 24.549, and, if this preference is acceptable to SA6, to consider aligning Rel-17 stage 2 specification accordingly.\nSA6 group is fine for CT1 to remove CoAP procedures (while retaining HTTP procedures) from the Rel-17 version of TS 24.549 (instead of withdrawing the specification in its entirety). This is because HTTP procedures in TS 24.549 are still aligned to Stage 2 and the same procedures have evolved to Open API in Rel-18.\nFurther SA6 group has not identified any impacts to Rel-17 stage 2 specification. Rel-17 CT3 TS 29.549 has specified procedures which are based on existing Rel-17 stage 2 specification that need to be retained.
