CT WG1 has re-analysed the differences between the requirements in the CEN specifications and the 3GPP specifications for these cases and would like to provide the following feedback: a) For last resort eCall triggered in a network that supports IMS emergency calls without ECL=T (case 6), the usage of a URI without an sos sub-type as specified in CEN specifications might result in emergency call setup failure in some countries (see Note 2 in clause 5.1.6.8.1 and several other clauses in TS 24.229). Therefore, an existing defined URI with an eCall sos sub-type in 3GPP specification is preferred; b) The detailed requirements for UE sending of MSD using audio media stream (e.g. cases 6 and 7) were not defined in 3GPP specifications previously. To avoid misinterpretation, we clarified this requirement and referred to CEN specifications for further details; c) 3GPP specifications do not fully define all possible redial attempts for pending voice, emergency or eCall (case 8). Switching from PS to CS domain as defined in 3GPP specifications is useful for implementation if the CS domain is available. To help facilitate UE redial requirements defined in CEN specifications, a note for implementation is added in 3GPP specification; and d) For case 9, any redial is left up to implementation - allowing an IVS to follow the CEN requirement as an option. TSG SA respectfully asks CT WG4 to take this feedback into consideration and considers corresponding normative work.
