One of the objectives of this WI is to define FR1 OTA test methodology for non-RedCap headworn eXtended Reality (XR) devices, i.e., _x000D_\n\u2022\tDefine test methodology for FR1 non-RedCap headworn XR devices _x000D_\no\tDefine TRP and TRS test methodology and configuration_x000D_\n?\tThe performance metric of XR (1Tx and2Tx) is aligned with the definition up to Rel-18 handheld UE_x000D_\n?\tTesting time reduction solutions can be considered (further measurement grid optimization is precluded)_x000D_\no\tStudy and specify the proper head phantom if needed, consider the coordination with CTIA on this aspect_x000D_\no\tDevelop preliminary Measurement Uncertainty (MU)  (RAN5)_x000D_\n3GPP truly appreciates previous well-coordinated efforts with CTIA on OTA phantoms, specifically the allowance to reproduce figures and OTA Phantom MU assessed values from the respective CTIA test plans. Given the need to test headworn XR devices on an OTA phantom, 3GPP would like to collaborate with CTIA on the development of suitable XR phantoms and corresponding OTA test methods. It is our understanding that preliminary findings on the AR\/VR OTA capable phantoms was presented in CTIA._x000D_\n3GPP RAN4 would like to encourage CTIA to expedite the work (e.g., development, manufacturing) on applicable XR phantoms and corresponding OTA test methods. The proposed WI time scale anticipates the conclusion of the core part by September 2025 and the performance part by March 2026 for which commercially available XR phantoms are required as 3GPP OTA performance requirements are derived based on actual measurement campaigns.
