RAN WG2 discussed the following question: 'SA WG2 kindly requests RAN WG2 to inform SA WG2 whether they intend to support UP optimization and RRC_INACTIVE for NB-IoT and eMTC connected to 5GC', and would like to provide the following response: 1. From RAN WG2 perspective both UP CIoT optimization and RRC_INACTIVE are feasible. 2.
