SA WG3 would like SA WG1 to know that SA WG3 has reached agreement about the definition of subscription credentials by accepting S3-180870 into TS 33.501. The definition that SA WG3 has agreed is the following: Subscription credential(s): set of values in the USIM and the ARPF, consisting of at least the long-term key(s) and the subscription identifier SUPI, used to uniquely identify a subscription and to mutually authenticate the UE and 5G core network. SA WG3 would like to inform SA WG1 that the subscription credentials are processed in the USIM in addition to being stored there. Also, SA WG3 would like to inform that it has agreed that the USIM resides on a UICC. This agreement is captured in S3-181008 which is attached to this LS for SA WG1's reference.
